The Sweet 16 gets started with four games on Thursday
The 2022 NCAA Tournament resumes with the first Sweet 16 games on Thursday, March 24. These are half of the 16 teams that survived the first two rounds, which featured many upsets and a handful of overtime finishes.

CBS and TBS will broadcast Thursday’s games, which also will be available to stream via March Madness Live and other services. The first two rounds were a lot of fun, but the stakes are even higher now with these teams just two wins shy of a trip to the Final Four.
So if you’re wondering, “What NCAA Tournament games are on today?” know this: There are four scheduled for Thursday, March 24.

West Region: No. 4 Arkansas (27-8) vs. No. 1 Gonzaga (28-3)
7:09 p.m. on CBS – Chase Center (San Francisco)

Why You Should Watch: Both teams had to battle in the second round to get to the Sweet 16 with Gonzaga exploding in the second half to outlast Memphis while Arkansas made the most of its free throws in escaping New Mexico State in a game that otherwise didn’t feature a lot of shot-making by either team. The Razorbacks will need to keep up the defensive intensity but also find some more offense if they want to prevent the overall top seed from advancing.
South Region: No. 11 Michigan (19-14) vs. No. 2 Villanova (28-7)
7:29 p.m. on TBS – AT&T Center (San Antonio)
Why You Should Watch: It wasn’t too long ago that many figured Michigan was ticketed for the NIT, let alone would make it to the Sweet 16. But two straight upsets find the Wolverines squaring off with Villanova, which enters on a seven-game winning streak.
West Region: No. 3 Texas Tech (27-9) vs. No. 2 Duke (30-6)
9:39 p.m. on CBS – Chase Center (San Francisco)
Why You Should Watch: The Coach K farewell tour comes to the West Coast after Duke picked up a pair of nice wins in Greenville, South Carolina. Texas Tech did the same in San Diego, and the Red Raiders will now look to use their tenacious defense to end the Blue Devils’ season — and a legendary head coach’s career.
South Region: No. 5 Houston (31-5) vs. No. 1 Arizona (33-3)
9:59 p.m. on TBS – AT&T Center (San Antonio)
Why You Should Watch: Houston has been one of the more impressive teams through the first two rounds, while Arizona needed overtime to survive a scrappy TCU last Sunday. The top-seeded Wildcats have an even tougher challenge ahead of them as the Cougars are one of the country’s top defensive teams, holding opponents under 60 points per game.
