Kyler Murray is one of the newest breakout stars to come out of the National Football League.

As many of the National Football League’s greatest players are beginning to retire, Murray serves as a pillar of hope for the next generation of professional football players.

This young quarterback is known for being an incredibly talented athlete, whether in his professional baseball, football, or his esports career.

With the National Football League tightening its rules surrounding displaying the correct height of players, many football fans have turned their attention towards Murray.

Kyler Murray is 5’10⅛”, which makes him one of the shortest members of the National Football League at the current time.

His performance during the 2021 National Football League season has earned him the title of Most Valuable Player in the professional league.

With Murray’s support, the Arizona Cardinals went on to have an undefeated season.

Unlike most quarterbacks, Kyler Murray has proven that his cannon of an arm and high speeds are enough to completely change the Cardinals’ fate.

When he was first drafted in 2019, critics were quick to point out that Murray was much shorter than many of his potential teammates.

However, the professional quarterback is only slightly more than an inch away from being six feet tall.

It’s common for new rookie players to list a higher height and weight than their actual measurements because of how hard it is for players under six feet tall to make it into the professional sports league.

Although Murray may be slightly shorter than the average National Football League quarterback, his hands have a measurement of 9.5 inches, which is the average hand size.

Despite being taller than the average American male, Kyler Murray is the shortest quarterback in the history of the National Football League to be selected first in the National Football League Draft.

While he may normally be the shortest player on the field, he still feels that he is one of the most impactful players on his team and doesn’t see his height as an issue when playing.

Kyler Murray is currently the second shortest member of the National Football League, at a total of 70.13 inches.

The shortest quarterback on record is retired Navy quarterback Chris McCoy, who measures out at 69.8 inches.

Is Kyler Murray Going To Join Organized Team Activities?

No, Kyler Murray isn’t going to join the Arizona Cardinals for any of their organized team activities.

Organized team activities mostly consist of summertime workout sessions and rebuilding themselves for the upcoming season.

It’s normal for high-profile players to sit out of organized team activities, whether they’re simply choosing to enjoy the time during the offseason or to help reduce the chance of getting injured during practice.

During the 2021 season, the Arizona Cardinals decided to reduce the number of organized team activities from 10 sessions to three sessions, which many Cardinal fans see as a poor decision considering how the 2021 season ended in such a rocky state.

Some of Kyler Murray’s fans believe that the young athlete has every right to sit out of organized team activities thanks to how much the young athlete has improved during his short time with the team.

This young quarterback has gone from five wins to 11 wins in only three years, causing some people to compare him to Carson Palmer.

His fans also believe Murray should be excused from organized team activities because of the impact that he has had on the Arizona Cardinals.

For five seasons, the Cardinals went without seeing a single playoff until they discovered Murray and allowed him to carry the team to victory.

However, not all Arizona Cardinals fans believe that Kyler Murray has the right to be excused from only three organized team activities sessions that the team normally requires.

The naysayers are quick to point out his performance against the Los Angeles Rams.

Kyler Murray may want to take his team to the Super Bowl, but critics don’t believe that Murray has the skill to fulfill his promised goal.

They believe that Murray needs to be an active participant in his team’s training like everyone else.

Yes, Kyler Murray will continue playing for the Arizona Cardinals as long as they give him a new contract.

The Cardinals’ general manager Steve Keim has already spoken about the team’s plan to lock Murray into a long-term contract because they believe that he is the key to their future success.

Kyler Murray has grown tired of his rookie salary, especially if he is going to be treated as the Arizona Cardinals’ star player.

Murray wants a contract that reflects the amount of responsibility and effort he’s putting into his career.

Before Murray is willing to return to the professional league, he wants a new contract that respects his level of skill and commitment to his team.

There has yet to be a discussion of an exact contract, but the Arizona Cardinals seem to be willing to do whatever it takes to keep their star player.

There was some speculation among professional football fans that Kyler Murray was planning on leaving the Cardinals after he removed many of the pictures featuring the team from his social media pages.

However, the Cardinals were quick to assure their fans and Murray that things between the player and the team were reconciled.

Despite what some would consider dramatic behavior, Murray is not worried about his place in the professional football league.

Even if Murray doesn’t get a new contract, he will still be making $5.5 million from his rookie contract for the 2022 season.

However, Steve Keim has assured the public that they plan to do something about Murray’s contract this summer.

It’s normal for teams in the National Football League to wait until late summer or early fall to plan out future contracts.

The Arizona Cardinals plan to present Kyler Murray with a new contract sometime between July and September.

How Kyler Murray Has Invested In Professional Gaming

Kyler Murray’s main career might be his job as the Arizona Cardinals quarterback, but he is also a dedicated esports fan and professional gamer.

In the spring of 2021, Murray joined FaZe Clan as a member and an investor.

The popularity of esports has risen in recent years, especially as the pandemic has been known to slow down traditional sports.

Despite the popularity boost, many esports organizations find it hard for potential investors to take them seriously.

One of the biggest pushes for esports that has allowed it to become a recognized sports genre is esports’ acceptance and involvement of traditional professional athletes, such as the young and hip Kyler Murray and even basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal.

FaZe has attracted the attention of multiple celebrities, including Ben Simmons, LeBron James Jr., Lil’ Yachty, Offset, and Jimmy Iovine.

Murray sees this as a way to connect with fans who are his age and younger while also proving to the older generations that esports have their place among the multiple other types of sports.

By the summer of 2021, Kyler Murray and multiple members of the FaZe clan made history as the first esports team to ever be featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated.

Although gamers had always been seen as the opposite of traditional athletes, Murray and his team proved that you could be a gamer and athlete because gamers and athletes are shockingly similar.

Both esports and traditional sports players have to practice until they’ve mastered their craft, relying on both their tactical skills and their ability to work effectively as a team with other players.

The CEO of FaZe clan, Lee Trink, believes that “gamers are the next generation of rock stars.”

When Murray was asked why he decided to join the FaZe clan, he claimed they were the best.

In 2019, Kyler Murray was taken on by LeBron James’s media company, Uninterrupted, and made short and medium-form content for the company.

This two-year partnership had Murray making social media content for the major media company and had a feature-length documentary about the young athlete planned.

Through his partnership with the media company, Murray was hoping to show the world that he was more than just an athlete and that there was much more to his life that even his most devoted fans may not know.

The CEO of Uninterrupted, Maverick Carter, wanted to focus on ensuring that the documentary they had planned was the best way to tell his life story.

LeBron James first decided to create Uninterrupted in 2014 to give athletes a place to speak freely, without the mockery that would come with traditional media companies.

James decided to double down on his media company after a Fox News host recommended that he should “shut up and dribble”.

Maverick Carter first became interested in Kyler Murray’s story after he won the 2018 Heisman Trophy while attending the University of Oklahoma.

His father, Kevin Murray, was also a notable college athlete who played for Texas A&M.

While the trophy may have been what caught Carter’s attention, it was who Murray was as a person that held his attention and interest before eventually leading up to their partnership only a year later.

Kyler Murray has hoped to use his partnership with Uninterrupted as a way to inspire other young athletes to see themselves as more than professional athletes and understand the type of impact they can have on the world around them.

Murray greatly appreciates the atmosphere and company culture that LeBron James’s company fosters, believing that it will press more athletes to feel empowered to be themselves.

How Has Kyler Murray Injured Himself?

Over the course of his entire time playing football, Kyler Murray has only sustained four injuries.

The first injury he ever received was on September 5th of 2015 when he suffered from an inguinal hip strain on the left side, but Murray was back to playing only a week later.

His first injury after joining the National Football League was a Grade 1 hamstring sprain on December 22nd of 2019.

Murray suffered the hamstring pull on a third-down scamper in the early part of the third quarter, but he returned to play by the following game.

On November 19th of 2020, the young quarterback suffered from an AC joint sprain after attempting to successfully throw a ball to a teammate.

Although he was pulled from that game and the Cardinals ended up losing to the Seattle Seahawks, he was able to return to the team without missing a single game.

Kyler Murray’s most recent injury occurred on October 28th of 2021 when sustained a Grade 2 pedal ankle sprain during a game against the Green Bay Packers.

In order to give his ankle time to heal, Murray ended up missing three games.

Despite having to miss multiple games in a row, Murray was glad that he gave himself the time to rest.

Although he was glad that he was able to heal properly, Murray missed being able to play alongside his beloved teammates.

Murray felt that rushing back to the field would have only led to him missing even more games because he wouldn’t have been able to heal properly which would have led to even more pain for him.

Once he was able to run again, Murray felt amazing to be back zooming around a field with a football in his hands.

Was Kyler Murray Actually Good At Baseball?

Yes, Kyler Murray was being considered by Major League Baseball as a possible outfielder, leading some to believe that the young quarterback could have possibly been the next Bo Jackson if he decided to become an outfielder rather than a quarterback.

While attending Allen High School, Murray hit for a .302 batting average, had two home runs and 20 stolen bases under his belt, and was known for his sensational defense.

He was able to achieve this all by his sophomore year of high school.

Kyler Murray comes from a family of athletes, with his father Kevin Murray being known for his college football career.

Murray’s uncle, Calvin Murray, has played for the Texas Rangers, the San Francisco Giants, and the Chicago Cubs.

While attending Texas A&M, he played as their baseball team’s infielder before he eventually went to play as an infielder for the University of Oklahoma.

By his sophomore year of college, Murray had a batting average of .296 and surpassed a .954 OPS.

Murray had a reputation for being a bit of a project player, due to his young age. Despite needing a little additional coaching, Kyler Murray was a first-round draft pick for the Oakland A’s during the 2018 Major Baseball League draft.

In an attempt to get Murray to choose the Major Baseball League over the National Football League, Oakland increased his signing bonus from the typical rookie’s $4.9 million to $14 million.

The Cardinals and A’s choice to have Kyler Murray as their first picks made him the first athlete to ever be drafted as a first pick in the same year by both professional sports leagues.

Even Bo Jackson wasn’t a first-round draft pick when he joined the Kansas City Royals but instead landed as their fourth pick.

Murray has undeniable athletic talent.

Donating His Rookie Salary

Like every great athlete, Kyler Murray has made sure to help financially support the causes that he feels strongly about.

Even though Murray feels that he isn’t being paid enough for his role with the Arizona Cardinals, he still has enough money to help those who need it most.

When schools began closing around the country, the young quarterback donated $25,000 to GENYOUth.

This organization is looking to end student hunger in the United States, especially when schools have not been able to provide their students with in-school meals.

Kyler Murray has also recently donated money to the Cure Mito Foundation, as they look for a cure to SURF1 Leigh Syndrome.

Leigh Syndrome is a severe neurological disorder that affects 1 in 77,000 live births and is normally noticeable within the first year of a child’s life, mostly affecting their posture, mobility, and mental capabilities.

Kyler Murray is still in the rookie years of his career, allowing plenty of time to expand his philanthropic efforts.
