Two members of the Rocky Mountain High School boys lacrosse team, which represents all Poudre School District schools, signed national letters of intent to play together at the next level at Adrian College, an NCAA Division III school in Michigan.
Owen Smith, a senior at Fort Collins, and Austin Selvage, a senior at Poudre, both inked their letters with Adrian in recent weeks.
More than 25 other athletes at area high schools have also signed on this spring with two- and four-year colleges and universities to continue playing their sports next fall.
Poudre and Rocky Mountain were holding signing-day celebrations Monday. Other local schools recognized their spring signees over the previous three weeks.
Thirty-three athletes from area high schools signed their letters of intent to play college sports last fall and 39 more signed in February.
