Forgotten Super Eagles Goalkeeper Dele Alampasu concedes five goals in Maltese league clash

After helping Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets to the World title In 2013, Dele Alampasu was tipped as the future Super Eagles first-choice goalkepeer but at the moment his name has been forgotten.

During his days with Portuguese side Feirence, Alampasu was a recipient of Super Eagles invitations and even made his debut in a 3-0 defeat of Togo In 2017.

A fantastic goalkepeer, but one who hasn’t been lucky with clubs, Alampasu has slid off the spotlight.

WHERE IS ALAMPASU

Alampasu joined Malta Premier League side Pieter Hotspurs in July 2022 and has played nine times for Pieters who are the leagues whipping boys.

The 25 year old shot-stopper today endured yet another castrophic result with his Malta Premier League side Pieter Hotspurs following a 1-5 bashing in the hands of Birkirkara .

Dele Alampasu’s club are rock bottom of the 14-team Malta Premier League standings, having only garnered 4 points from 12 games.

WHAT NEXT FOR ALAMPASU 

Alampasu, SportsRation understands signed a one year contract with Pieter Hotspurs and may decide to leave with relegation staring at the 6000 capacity Victor Tedesco Stadium.

A move to another European country will certainly be on the cards for the shots-stopper who despite his struggles still has the reflexes that made him the Golden Glove winner at the 2013 U-17 World Cup.
