“Forever young, I want to be forever young” is exactly what any MMA fan wishes could happen for legend, Fedor Emelianeko. He is scheduled for his final fight of his career against Ryan Bader in a rematch on CBS the first weekend of February. This is the final title shot in the storied heavyweight career. He is 40-6 in his career and this will be a rematch that he can avenge his most recent loss back in January 2019. Don’t be sad it’s over, smile because this happened. Fedor, in my opinion, is the greatest heavyweight fighter of any promotion of all time and is a top 10 fighter ever. We will now transition to the era of Coach Fedor.
We may have never been able to see Fedor walk into the UFC octagon but I am truly grateful for that. Many casual fans tuned into Bellator coverage strictly because of Fedor and I am unsure if the promotion would have ever been able to get to the level it is if it didn’t have that star power causing the UFC to turn to a monopoly over the sport.
On February 4, 2022, live from the Los Angeles area in California on CBS we are going to have a treat with both the heavyweight and light heavyweight title being put up for grabs. Fedor Emelianeko and Ryan Bader will battle it out for a rematch in Fedor’s retirement fight. Hunter and I hope to be in attendance covering the event live.
