At a meeting held by the Brownfield Authority Wednesday evening the development group Veridea presented a new project to the authority along with members of the Menominee City Council and County Board. Menominee Business Development Corporation Director Nancy Douglas says, “we’ve been working for over a year with a potential developer on the old Kmart property.”
“This portion of the project is phase one,” says Douglas.
The developers are working closely with the city, county, and brownfield authority to make this new project a success for the Menominee – Marinette communities. Tentative groundbreaking will be summer of 2022.
